Mayte Bailon was born in the heart of Mexico, in a city called Queretaro. From a young age, She learned the art of Mexican gastronomy. She learned recepies that date back hundreds of years from Spanish, Mayan, and Aztec cultures.
Mayte moved to Nashville, Tennessee with her husband and three sons. There she worked for years in catering and parties for celebrities and politicians such as Bon Jovi, Dolly Parton, Magic Johnson, Al Gore, and President Barack Obama.
In 2014, she moved with her family to Edmonton, Alberta. She noticed the appetite the people of Edmonton have for foreign cuisine and especially for Mexican food. Seeing the lack of representation for Mexican cuisine, she and her family began a Mexican food stand at farmers’ markets.
Now, Mayte is ready to expand to a permanent location so she can give back to the community which has given her and her family so much.
